Shady Bitch are Tim Ager (drums and lyrics) and Lewis Henderson (music and instruments that require skill), accompanied by the voices in their heads and that speak to them from the mists of time.
Shady Bitch was formed when Ager suggested the pair form a band to address the disparity of music addressing the key issues relating to archaeology and ancient history. Henderson rejected the plan on the basis that it was ill conceived and contained zero substance.
Faced with rejection Ager threw money at the problem and designed the band’s first merch. Armed with three band t-shirts he approached the naysayer Henderson once more and was rejected yet again.
But as a scholar of history Ager knew that most famous and successful people achieve their objective at the third time of asking so he wrote what became the band’s first song “The Mechanism”.
Armed with a domain name, merch, and a song, Ager approached doom merchant Henderson one final time. Henderson was so moved by the poetic genius he was reading that he immediately recanted his earlier opinions and agreed to form the band.
The rest is “ancient” history.
